of passionate comic book enthusiasts, who are just as passionate about technology.
Started in 1995 as a tribute to the memory of Tim Beck, a close childhood friend
of founder Bryan Neely, who unfortunately passed away from complications due to
leukemia at the age of 25.
From the early days of their friendship, they were both focused on the world of
comic reading and collecting. Their entire world revolved around this hobby. It
didn't stop even while Bryan was going to college. At Ball State university, Bryan
created the very first percursor of ComicsPriceGuide.com. Initially it was named
MarvelWorld and featured only data and related information exclusively on Marvel
Comics.
Fast-forward

years and ComicsPriceGuide.com has become the world's largest and most accurate
online community for obtaining comic book value information. In addition to serving
over 700,000 users value data, our message boards and blogs have become the go-to-source
and authority for connecting comic book enthusiasts.

Lead Web Designer - UI/UX
Based in downtown Indianapolis, IN, this successful Internet company is the largest
and most accurate comic book pricing in the world. We are looking for a skilled,
motivated and passionate Web Developer to work with a small team. If you're passionate
about web development, a self-starter, a good problem solver, and have a history
of success in a challenging, fast-paced environment you could be an ideal fit for
this position. We are self-funded and growing quickly.
What you need for this position:
- Able to work in a small tight-knit group and collaborate effectively with developers
and business owners.
- Expertise in User-Interface design, especially web-based UI
- Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong front-end development skills. Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, JQuery, and
CSS layout skills
- Ability to quickly code complex designs in table-less CSS structure maintaining
design integrity and with an eye to cross browser/platform issues.
- Experience using AJAX and/or responsive design a plus.

- Maintaining design consistency via the use of style guides, style sheets and enforcement

- Implement new site features from conception to completion based on product specifications

in Telecommunications. In 1995 he began working in the telecommunications department
at Ball State University in Indianapolis, where he discovered he had a natural talent
for original ideas in website programming.

Prior to SmartFile, John was CEO and co-founder of Webexcellence, the largest web

as Delco Remy, Angie’s List and NCAA to develop rich web applications. John also
played a key role in the startup phase of ExactTarget.

work experience, she has added some fun, organization, and girl power to the team.
